Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ7 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Sea Depot at (919) 469-8889; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, facebook.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 517 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in Cary and suggests consistent service.
Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Cary is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

First time visiting, all were so nice and welcoming to me. I tried thier fried cat fish sandwich and it was very good. Bought jumbo live crabs and me and my wife went through them. Will visit again.

One of my favorite spots in Cary. The seafood is always fresh and ice case always packed. Staff is friendly and know all about seafood. If you havenβt been, youβre missing out on the best seafood market in the area. π

I usually just get fish out of here but on Friday 4/24 decided to buy some Lump Crab meat. My wife opened it up and it was funky. She was trying to make us some crab cakes and couldn't even get past mixing the ingredients together. Packaging says it was from Mexico and no best by date it. Do not buy crabmeat from there unless it comes from a freezer. They're lucky I'm giving 2 stars.

I live in Whitsett, North Carolina and every time I have to go to Cary, North Carolina I always go here to get me and the family fish when I get home. I used to live in Cary and my sister introduced me to this wonderful establishment. I love their fish in other items. I love the fried calamari also. But if you love fish, this is one of the best place to go in Cary. Well, itβs the only place I go.!!
